Half the time he doesn't even know where he is. Getting hopped up on undiluted Time will do that to you. Displaces everything. But that's the thing he's hooked on even though it makes him sick to his stomach.
He can't get enough of it. Seeing whole breadths of history in the span of a second, in a deep hole lasting for hours, is a thing he thinks everyone should witness. But it's too much for most people. Knocks them flat and sends them packing.
So he keeps inhaling. Straight through his optic nerve right into his brain. Best way. Direct. A cheeky line of Time, to get him through the day, and then another just in case.
