The longer you go on, the more you see of the twisted bundle of wires that looms ahead of you. Soon you're in the thicket. Pulling at them, you start to realise their length. Perhaps they go on forever. Don't thrash or you're likely to hang yourself. You gotta sit untangling them, one by one. There's no way to know how long it goes on for. Only that it doesn't end here.
