In ice caverns buried deep within the glacier, a tree stands frozen, its fruits unplucked. Some say a single bite will cure any ailment, or open a mind to secret knowledge, or endow a person with supernatural strength.
But none of these things are as miraculous as the tree itself. Still alive, down there in the absolute dark and lethal cold. It clings to life each moment, never giving in. It struggles so that it might see a dawn that may never come.
