I don't know what they dug up at that old farmhouse on Newbridge, but I don't think it's an angel. A seraphim, they are saying. They. The New Utopists.
Police have been itching to get in there for years, but the Utopists are squeaky clean. Or at least they appear to be. Perhaps they're good at covering their tracks. Perhaps they have friends in high places.
Who knows what actually goes on behind those walls? But whatever it is, it's been going on for years. And now, with the discovery of their alleged angel, people are flocking in their hundreds to join them.
I say join them. It's a small town. So sixty people is a lot. A lot to go missing in just five years. And yet, no one is talking about it. Just about the angel.
I wonder what they feed it.
