'Listen to the world.'
Pressing your ear to the earth, feeling the bite of snow, you hear the deep rumble of the iron zinc core turning in the oceans of magma. You hear the thunderous creak of the crust straining into new shapes. And you hear echoing bolts of sound, like the psuedo-electric current that run through a breaking lake of ice. You don't know what that is.
'That's the sound of souls being reforged. In the world above they can become fragile. Sometimes broken. Down in the earth they are paired with other fractured souls. Forged together and tempered in the fire of the world. Then they are plucked out and given form, to try again. No soul is left unused. No soul is unworthy of another chance.'
