Forced from his homeland, the reluctant leader of his people, he took them on a journey that would forever shape their world. He travelled far, fought hard, and fell in love. The evil that pursued them was defeated by his hand and under his banner, his people returned home. By then he was full grown and his legend preceded him.
But he lost her.
His people live under his tyranny now. Forced to revisit the same horrors as the first evil, they re-enact the journey that began all this, a pilgrimage that his grief-stricken mind foolishly believes will recreate the conditions of his love. But she is gone, with it, whatever reason or compassion he had left.
And they still worship him as their hero.
