I often wonder where the time goes. The days slip by without notice. The mundane takes centre stage in the hours. What I love gets pushed into the backdrop. The people I love blur in the periphery.
It's easy to lose track of yourself. To begin as one person, to have an idea of what you are, only to find yourself subsumed into someone else without your knowledge. But it was your doing. Or the tides of life. Either way, the results can be alarming.
But take stock in moments of reflection. Quiet hours in the dead of night, when no one else is up. Plot. Plan. Find a way back to what you were. Or a way through to someone else. Take your loved ones and the things, places, hobbies you love and use them as landmarks to steer you home.
