The fire burns hottest where the faith is strongest, so say our hallowed men. They endure the pain of our Lord’s righteous fury so we might be absolved of sin and we are asked to submit a mere pittance in penance for this holy duty. Step forth and surrender your worldly goods so that your eternal soul may be saved.
