He takes in a lungful of fresh air which fills him with the massiveness of the world. The clear sky above is visible past the open bathroom window, through which the clarifying breeze passes and charges his muscles with the potential energies of the day. Oxygen surges into his heart and its life-giving pumps become stronger, more controlled, and take on an indefectible purpose. Blood, fizzling with power, courses through his veins with a fervour that sweeps aside the aching anxieties of the past and channels out new paths for the future. He is unshackled from current certainties and embraces the potential uncertainties to come. Embers of a will he once though extinguished flicker to life in his gut. With a little fuel, they’ll erupt into a firestorm. Worlds will be made. Stories, told. With a little luck, he’ll see a fraction of all the bright, exploding joy this life sizzles with.
