Ten Thousand Battered Cod

'Ten thousand battered cod?' The Chef frowns at the check. 'You sure that's right?'

The automated waiter gazes emotionless at him. 'Yes, hef.'

The Chef narrows his suspicious glare. 'But there's only ten covers.'

'Yes, Chef.'

'So… do you think you might have accidentally added a few zeros on there?'

The waiter stares and says nothing.

'Were not liable for what gets ordered,' notes his Sous. 'But we are liable for not getting an order out.'

The Chef shrugs and sighs. 'Get all the fryers on then.'
