Between the railway and the houses is a valley, a deep cut in the earth thick with trees and ferns. Running along it is a powerline and in the shadow of its pylons a gang of children play out a ceaseless imaginary war, not caring for the disruption in the air around them. Entities not of this dimension shimmer in the twilight, watching with fascination as these simple shapes make joyous sound.
