Dawn strikes and the coast guard of Lindisfarne brace for the morning raid. The Vikings are always viscous at first, snarling and baring their axes with savage intent, but as soon as they see the bright orange ships of the coast guard, and their strange equipment, they soon start to quail. It is the job of the guard to reassure the Vikings, turn them back around, into their longboats, and send them on their way. Perpetual ‘raids’ for hundreds of years. And while the people of Lindisfarne view this as a daily chore, the Vikings never seem to recall what has come before, forever thinking they are on the cusp of a mighty raid.
