The Altar stands as testament to all the suffering used to secure freedom. Cut it down. Forget it. Do not celebrate death and misery, do not use it as a stick to beat young people with new ideas. The dead gave themselves freely, do not charge us in retrospect. They’re not here to weigh us down. Advance. Cut down the Altar.
