Glittering scales. Twenty sides. Carried across oceans, deserts, and mountains in a crystal cage. The acolytes fear it. It sits perfectly suspended in a magically infused stasis. Caught mid-roll by a quick-thinking mage. If it lands, something will be decided. Of what scale of consequence, no one can say. All well and good until there is a slight slip of the foot. A broken cage. And a stunned courtroom, watching a tiny dice go skittering across the marbled slabs.
