The old athlete heard his name called. A complete stranger, a young man who’s seen old videos of him on YouTube and wanted to shake his hand. Tears sprung in his eyes. It’d been years since he’d been recognised. He was always content with the admiration in his wife’s eyes, but since she passed, he’d lost that feeling without realising. Only now did it come back to him and he saw what he’d been missing for so long - her.
