Killing a person is easy. Anyone can do it. You can walk downstairs to your kitchen, take a knife out of the drawer, and kill whoever is in the house. You could do it right now.
Killing a person without getting caught is a little harder. That takes some organisation. Some understanding of the mechanics of the world around you. Anyone can do it, with a little preparation. But most won’t get away with it more than once unless they’ve thought a long way ahead. Most people are notoriously bad at this.
Killing a person without anyone knowing it was murder? That’s hard. Takes a lot of careful consideration. A full understanding of multiple fields of study. It takes money. Connections. It takes a certain kind of will. Almost no one has what it takes.
That’s why they pay me so much.
