He brings her food. That's all feels he can do in those dark days. She still has to work, to face all those people, who are oblivious to what happened. Still has to come home to the house that has a great emptiness in in.
But he brings her food. Pasta. Fajitas. Stew. All the things she likes. She picks away at it most of the time, but sometimes the act of eating seems to distract her from her own grief for a little while. And that makes it worth it.
A plate won't fix the world, but it might lighten it for a moment.
